FAQs
What’s the dress code?
Beach semi-formal / cocktail.
We recommend avoiding heels - since the ceremony will be on the beach, and our yard (where the reception will be) is rock-filled.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception areas will be tented.
What if it rains?
The ceremony will be at the house instead of the beach. We’ve been assured the tents will keep everyone dry.
While rain will certainly change our plans a bit, we know we’ll still have the best time!
What should I expect after the ceremony?
The ceremony will be half a mile from where the reception will be held. It’s a straight, 10-minute walk to the house, for those who would like to.
Cocktail hour will start at 5:30pm, when people begin arriving at the house.
What about parking?
For the ceremony: you can park on New Brunswick Avenue, on the block closest to the oceanfront. You can also park on any of the neighboring blocks off Route 35, then walk over on the boardwalk to the New Brunswick Avenue beach entrance.
Street parking here is free.
For the reception: street parking is an option. We just ask that you do not block the house or driveway, for catering and guest access. There is also a lot at the Bay Beach & Boat Ramp just off the island (a five-minute walk).
